I remember when teachers assesed their own students personally, and actually taught us how to think! Imagine! None of the above article is at all shocking to me because i am old enough to have had the benefit of an education consisting of a curriculum guided by well-respected professionals who cherished critical thinking and hard work in their students.

Today teachers are bullied by the government and an educational administration whose only objective is to achive passing standardized test scores and promote thier own careers.
